The Basement Backstory

From Waconia Families, For Waconia Families

Almost a decade ago, Greg and Jana made the decision to build their home — and their life — right here in Waconia. From the beginning, they weren’t just looking for a place to live… they were looking for a place to belong.

Fast forward to today, and that vision has become a reality. As proud parents of four active kids — Lincoln (11), Kaden (8), and Sloan and Reagan (5) — Greg and Jana are deeply involved in the Waconia community. Whether it's cheering from the sidelines or rolling up their sleeves to help local causes, they’ve made their mark.

All In on Community

Greg serves as the head coach for Waconia Youth Baseball’s 11U-AA team, sharing his love of sports and mentorship with the next generation. Jana is the current President of the Waconia Dandylions and plays a vital role in leading local fundraising efforts and community initiatives.

They don't just live here — they're actively shaping the future of Waconia for their family and yours.

Why The Basement?

As parents and community members, Greg and Jana saw a clear need: a space where families, kids, and teens could have fun together — screen-free, safe, and full of energy.

That’s how The Basement Arcade came to life: a retro-style arcade and party space designed to bring people together in the most fun way possible. After months of dreaming, planning, and building, they're thrilled to finally open the doors and welcome you in.
